Philip Brown is an Impact Banker. As a founding member and Managing Director of Risk for Citi Inclusive Finance Group, Philip developed the policies, programs and risk tools to enable Citi’s global businesses to commercially engage in inclusive finance (including Inclusive Fintech).  Cumulatively, Citi’s Inclusive Finance Group has structured nearly $1 billion in lending to over 3.3 million micro borrowers (93% women) and raised more than $4 billion in inclusive financing. With over 40 years’ experience within Citigroup across multiple divisions and functions, Philip has a wealth of experience in many different facets of financial services.

Philip’s current non-executive and advisory roles include the Governing Council of the Centre for the Study of Financial Innovation, the Investment Committee of Habitat for Humanity’s MicroBuild Fund, Chair of the Credit and member of the Finance and Risk Committees of Root Capital and member of the Finance, Audit and Risk, and Lending Committees of Big Issue Invest.
