Currently an independent consultant, David is the former Director of Financial Sector Deepening (FSD) Kenya, a multi-donor program established to support the development of inclusive financial markets in Kenya. He has been engaged in work on financial inclusion and small and medium enterprise (SME) development for over twenty years, including work as a financial sector specialist for DFID in the Eastern Africa region.  In his earlier career, he trained and worked as a banker in the UK and Kenya.
